Here at The Crescent Hotel, we’re proud to offer our guests not only amazing access to Fort Worth’s many attractions—not least the Cultural District and Downtown right at our doorstep—but also those of its sister city, Dallas. You’ve got the whole Dallas-Fort Worth metro area at your fingertips while enjoying our hospitality!
Those Dallas attractions include plenty of seasonal celebrations and festivities, and one of the signature ones this time of year is going down over at the amazing Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden. We’re talking about that 66-acre gardenscape’s annual fall bash: Autumn at the Arboretum.
The 18th Annual Autumn at the Arboretum Festival at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
This year’s Autumn at the Arboretum celebration is already underway: It began on September 16th, and will continue through November 5th.
Within that generous span, the event features an utter smorgasbord of pumpkins, gourds, and squashes to usher in the autumnal vibes: We’re talking some 100,000 of them, grown in Floydada, Texas on the Llano Estacado, widely known as the Lone Star State’s Pumpkin Capital. From what better place to source your squashes?
Autumn at the Arboretum’s Pumpkin Village is a perennial hit, and given this year’s theme of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, no surprise the Peanuts Gang will come well represented.
Throw in a whole plethora of fall blooms amid the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden’s multiple distinct gardens, and you’ve got a stunning fall wonderland awaiting you during this month-and-a-half celebration.
Other Autumn at the Arboretum Attractions
The calendar during Autumn at the Arboretum comes chockablock with fall fun, including Guided Pumpkin Hikes through the Lakeside Exhibit Area on Wednesday mornings and the Thursday artistry on display at the Dallas Gourd Patch, where craftspeople render gourds into jewelry and other pieces for sale. On Friday, October 27th, you can load up on Halloween-time essentials at the Gourd Show & Sale.
From October 12th through the 16th, Autumn at the Arboretum overlaps with the Family Fun Weekend, serving up live music and a petting zoo, while Halloweekend (OCtober 28th and 29th) features trick-or-treating and other holiday happenings throughout the garden.
